Services

The central part of the service is Regina reading from the Torah (Five Books of Moses / Old Testament), sacred scrolls made of parchment paper which has been sewn together and written on by hand by a Sofer (scribe). The Torah is read beginning to end each year, starting and concluding with the holiday of Simchat Torah, which is in the fall.

Regina will also offer an interpretation of her Torah portion, D’Var Torah, along with her remarks on this day.

The remainder of the service includes prayers, songs, and readings in both Hebrew and English. Please join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
